As a Mechanical Inspector, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality of our precision-machined components, assemblies, and welded fabrications. Working in a high-spec ISO9001/AS9100 environment, you will be responsible for first-off, in-process, and final inspections, as well as compiling FAIR documentation and maintaining QA records.
What You'll Be Doing:
+ Perform inspections to ensure compliance with technical drawings and specifications
+ Use handheld and CMM measuring equipment for detailed inspections
+ Compile FAIR and quality documentation to internal and customer requirements
+ Inspect goods-in materials, sub-contract parts, and treatments
+ Support contract reviews and non-conformance investigations (RCCA/MRB)
+ Coordinate calibration of inspection equipment and maintain traceability reports
+ Assist in audits and continuous improvement activities

+ 5+ years of inspection experience in an ISO9001 / AS9100 manufacturing environment
+ Strong understanding of engineering drawings, tolerances, and QA standards
+ Skilled with a range of measuring tools; CMM knowledge is a plus
+ Competent with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
+ Welding inspection experience desirable
+ Highly organised, detail-oriented, and proactive team player
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Mechanical engineering apprenticeship, City & Guilds, or equivalent
+ GCSEs (A-C) in Maths and English
+ Experience maintaining digital QA records and equipment calibration
