Full Job Description
Introduction
We are looking for an apprentice to join our team, initially on the turning section, to learn how to machine our parts. A lot of pride and care goes into producing our products and we want someone that shares our passion and has a positive, can-do attitude.
About the Employer
We are a 60-year-old family run business that designs, manufactures and sells various driveline products around the world. Best known for our ATB differentials and sequential gear boxes.
What You'll Do
- Learning to read engineering drawings
- Measuring parts with calipers, micrometers and gauges
- Operating machinery
- Assisting the setters and other machinists in their day to day duties
- You will see other engineering disciplines such as gear cutting, grinding and milling as well as learning how to programme and set state of the art CNC machines
Training Outcome
To become a fully qualified machinist and be able to programme CNC machines. Also, there will be an opportunity to learn the CAD / CAM system.
