We're looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Maple Lodge team based in Maple Lodge, in Rickmansworth., Location: Maple Lodge, Rickmansworth - some remote working may be available, with occasional travel to the office required.Hours: 4Full time - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

Join us on a major project for Thames Water at Maple Lodge, where you'll play a key role in delivering mechanical engineering solutions across four exciting subprojects. From tertiary treatment renewal to secondary treatment intensification and electrical infrastructure improvements, you'll be working in partnership with our supply chain to achieve outstanding results for our client. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact on a significant water infrastructure project.
What will you be responsible for?
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you'll be working within the Maple Lodge team, supporting them in delivering mechanical aspects of projects within budget and timescales whilst ensuring Health, Safety and Environmental compliance. Your day to day will include:
-Leading mechanical engineering from inception to completion, liaising with Tier 2 Supply Chain design teams to ensure fully integrated, clash-free designs
-Collaborating with design partners to ensure CDM compliance and constructability, including check, review and approval of outputs
-Managing procurement of plant, materials and specialist subcontractors in cooperation with the commercial team
-Chairing and attending HAZOP and OPMAN events, maintaining design risk registers and compiling final contract documentation
-Mentoring and supporting graduate mechanical engineers, helping them develop their skills and careers
You have a strong working knowledge of Waste Water Engineering, including key suppliers, capabilities and process equipment designs
-You're familiar with access metalwork standards, safe operating principles including EN1090, and can check and review working calculations
-You have demonstrable experience of delivering large Waste Water Schemes
-You can effectively lead and manage teams on site, building collaborative relationships across teams, clients and stakeholders
-You hold a Full driving licence
