Mechanical Engineer

Are you an experienced Mechanical Engineer with SC clearance and a passion for delivering complex defence projects? Our client, a leading organisation within the defence sector, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their team in Bristol. This role offers a hybrid working modele., As part of the AJAX programme, you will contribute within the Integrate Pillar, focusing on resolving cross-project technical issues. Your expertise will support the seamless integration of various design components, ensuring project success across multiple operational stages.,

• Identify, analyse, and resolve cross-project engineering challenges with a focus on integration issues.
• Collaborate closely with Project Leads, Chief Engineers, and cross-functional teams to provide technical advice and support.
• Participate in Tiger Team activities, supporting rapid problem-solving to address critical technical conflicts.
• Document issues, resolutions, and lessons learned to promote continuous improvement.
• Assist in risk management related to design integration and conflicts.
• Ensure solutions meet programme requirements while adhering to standards and quality standards.
• Maintain awareness of current industry standards, best practices, and project specifications.
  
  Hold a relevant engineering qualification (HNC or higher).
• Be Professionally Registered as an Engineering Technician (EngTech) or equivalent.
• Proven experience in providing technical advice and delivering successful engineering outputs.
• Experience working within large, complex engineering programmes is valued, along with familiarity with military/defence assets.
