Mechanical Design Engineer

Are you looking for a new design role to work with a growing company working on a diverse range of hygienic projects from sheet metal to fluid and powder process systems which you are able to grow with future development opportunities?

I am exclusively working with an excellent business who work within the sub contract manufacturing industries with clients across the Process Engineering and food industries and who are currently looking for a new person to join their design team.

What you will be doing:

Producing detailed manufacturing drawings of systems, products and layouts from 3D models (fabrication and assembly drawings including BOM'S)
Align P&ID's with 2D and 3D drawings
Ensuring all drawing quality and continuity are up to company, customer and industry standards
Making sure all drawing libraries and parts databases are up to date
Working closely with the manufacturing department to ensure parts are manufactured to spec, but also work to ensure manufacturing problems are overcome
Issue all drawings and BOM's for manufacture through ERP system

It's expected that you will be educated to degree level
Experience as a CAD Draughtsperson / Design Engineer within a fabrication industry
Knowledge of food & beverage, pharma, industrial design
Be an excellent user of Solidworks/AutoCAD/Inventor
An excellent understanding of design for Manufacture DFM
Be able to produce under pressure
