Full Job Description

  • Lead end-to-end design projects for new switching products and enhancements to the existing portfolio, including 3D modelling, detailed engineering drawings, and complex product assemblies.
  • Provide technical direction to engineers and cross-functional teams both locally and internationally, collaborating closely with Simulation, Data Management, Technical Support, Product Management, and other specialist groups.
  • Partner with the manufacturing plant to ensure designs are production-ready, support industrialisation activities, and resolve technical challenges throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Own all supporting engineering documentation , including FMEAs, technical files, and Engineering Change Notices, ensuring compliance and robust design governance.
  • Develop and execute test plans aligned to relevant standards, working with internal and external laboratories to validate performance and reliability.
  • Drive innovation and intellectual property creation , contributing to the long-term competitiveness and differentiation of the product range.

    Engineering Degree (electrical/mechanical/mechatronic)
  • 4+ years in design/development of industrial products
  • Skills:
  • 3D CAD (solidworks preferred), project management. Ideally some knowledge of electrical products but not essential
  • Problem solving, team player, self motivated
