Mechanical Commissioning Engineer

As a Mechanical Commissioning Engineer, you will play a critical role in one of the UK's largest and most complex engineering projects. This is a full-time role, working 37.5 hours per week and based at our Hinkley Point C, near Bridgwater, Somerset site. Day-to-day, you'll be required to:

• Supporting the planning, preparation and execution of commissioning activities
• Ensuring systems and equipment are tested, validated and compliant with design specifications
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to resolve technical issues during commissioning
• Producing and reviewing commissioning documentation, procedures and records
• Promoting a strong safety culture and ensuring adherence to all regulatory and quality standards
  
  Demonstrable experience in commissioning, testing or engineering delivery within a regulated industry
• Strong understanding of engineering principles and system integration
• Experience working within nuclear, defence, energy or similarly highly regulated environments
• Ability to interpret technical specifications, drawings and procedures
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams
Qualifications for the Mechanical Commissioning Engineer:
• Degree or equivalent qualification in an engineering discipline (or relevant experience)

This is a brilliant opportunity to work as part of the MEH Alliance on the prestigious Hinkley Point C Nuclear project. The alliance work across the project to integrate and coordinate the delivery of all main Mechanical, Electrical, Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning (MEH), cabling and associated support services. This innovative approach will help different contractors work as a single entity to deliver the complex installation of cabling and pipework in the power station's vast network of rooms.
