Mechanical & Automotive Lead - SC cleared

This is a contract role based in Bristol, offering a hybrid working model with 2 days onsite per week, and the chance to contribute to a flagship government-funded project. The position is SC cleared, with an immediate start and until 31st March 2027, with scope for extension.,

• Lead Systems Engineering Safety, Risk & Hazard Management activities for the Mobile Fires Platform (MFP).
• Manage verification, validation, and technical authority processes for military land vehicles and weapon systems.
• Support assurance activities including audits, technical reviews, safety panels, and hazard log management.
  
  Are you an experienced SC cleared Mechanical Engineer with expertise in Systems Safety and Hazard Management, looking to make a significant impact within defence land vehicles? We're working with a leading client on an exciting project involving cutting-edge military vehicle systems, and we want to hear from professionals like you., Proven experience in identifying and analysing technical hazards and project risks.
• Experience in developing and managing risk reduction measures.
• Strong background reviewing and authorising contractor technical data, with a focus on compliance and non-conformance management.
• Expertise in managing system testing, verification, validation, and evaluation activities within a defence environment.
• Experience participating in engineering assurance, audits, and technical reviews.
• Knowledge of military land vehicles, systems, and safety standards is desirable., Professional registration such as CEng, IEng, RSci, REnvP, IMarEng or equivalent
