Introduction
Line Equipment is seeking a motivated person to be an Apprentice Machine Builder to join our production team. In this role, you will work alongside experienced technicians to assemble packaging machinery. This position combines hands-on with technical training and structured engineering learning, preparing you for a successful career.
About the Employer
Line Equipment build and install a range of VFFS or HFFS packaging machines designed to fill and seal bags with most products, including foods, cereals, nuts, seeds, powders, granules, ice cubes and much more.
Our core business is the design and build of VFFS bagging machines, both intermittent and continuous motion, capable of filling various products, wet or dry, across a range of bag sizes and bag styles, including Doy style. Their easy wash down, stainless steel construction and optional gas flushing capabilities can make them a perfect bagging machine for food.
We also supply ancillary packaging processing line equipment such as gantries, feed and take-off conveyors, volumetric fillers, counters, dosers, multi-head weighers, zip applicators and HFFS Flow Wrappers.
What You'll Do
- Assemble mechanical components using a range of hand tools.
- Build and assemble packaging machinery to engineering specifications.
- Install pneumatic valves, cylinders and air lines onto machine frames.
- Assist with machine testing and quality checks.
- Read and interpret basic engineering drawings, with full support and training provided.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
- Work closely with experienced engineers while developing your technical knowledge and practical skills.
Training Outcome
On completion of the apprenticeship, for the right candidate, there may be an opportunity to progress into a permanent role.
