Mechanic Apprentice

Introduction

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Mechanic Apprentice to join our busy workshop team at Whitestar Travel. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a genuine interest in vehicle maintenance and repairs who is looking to start a rewarding career in the motor industry.

About the Employer

Whitestar Travel based in Peterlee, County Durham, with a busy vehicle workshop specialising in vehicle diagnostics, repairs and paintwork. Alongside maintaining our own fleet, we also carry out work on a wide range of customer vehicles.

What You'll Do

Working alongside experienced mechanics, you'll gain hands-on experience in:

• Assisting with servicing, maintaining and repairing a variety of cars and light commercial vehicles
• Learning how to carry out vehicle diagnostics, identify faults and use specialist diagnostic equipment
• Completing routine safety inspections, oil changes, brake repairs and other general maintenance tasks
• Using workshop tools and equipment safely while keeping the work area clean, tidy and organised
• Working alongside the team to ensure all vehicles are repaired to a high standard and are safe and ready for customers

Training Outcome

There will be the possibility of full-time employment upon successful completion of the apprenticeship.
