Full Job Description
We are looking for a compassionate, creative, and motivated Meaningful Activity Coordinator to join our friendly and dedicated team at Rutland Memorial Hospital. Rutland Ward is an 18 bed unit offering sub-acute care and rehabilitation, supported by an experienced multidisciplinary therapy team including nursing, therapy and support workers. This is a rewarding role where you will help patients maintain their wellbeing, independence, and sense of purpose through therapeutic and engaging activities. You will play a key part in enhancing the patient experience and supporting high quality care. Free onsite parking is available for all staff., What you'll be doing
- Helping patients maintain their health, wellbeing, and independence through personalised meaningful activities.
- Supporting patients during individual and group therapeutic sessions.
- Assisting registered professionals with the implementation and evaluation of individualised care plans.
- Accurately recording patient information and activity outcomes.
- Organising and maintaining activity equipment and resources within an allocated budget.
- Demonstrating activity techniques and skills to healthcare assistants, carers, and new staff.
Someone who is patient centred, empathetic, and enthusiastic. - A creative thinker who can design and deliver meaningful activities that support recovery and wellbeing.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Good organisational skills and confidence managing resources and recording information.
