Full Job Description

Mealtime Assistant - Woolacombe School (Alumnis Multi Academy Trust)

North Devon, Devon

Multiple Terms

Grade A £12.65 per hour

We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic and reliable Mealtime Assistant to join our Early Years team at Woolacombe School.

This is a wonderful opportunity to become part of a small, welcoming school community where every child is known, valued and encouraged to thrive. Working within our Early Years provision, you will help to ensure that mealtimes are safe, enjoyable and nurturing experiences, supporting children to develop independence, confidence and positive social skills.

The post holder will be required to be included in staff ratios and therefore a Level 2 qualification in Early Years is required.

This is an especially exciting time to join us. Woolacombe School will shortly be transferring to The Academies for Character and Excellence (ACE), and this recruitment is being undertaken in partnership with Alumnis. This transition brings a wealth of opportunity. ACE is deeply committed to providing an exceptional education for every child, underpinned by a strong belief in equity, collaboration and uncompromising excellence. Their approach extends beyond the classroom, placing a real emphasis on character education, personal development and ensuring that every pupil and every member of staff is supported to thrive.

ACE is passionate about delivering a rich and innovative curriculum and fostering a highly collaborative way of working. Through its strong network of schools and professional communities, staff are given genuine opportunities to develop, share expertise and grow within their profession. A commitment to equity ensures that every child, and every member of staff, has access to meaningful opportunities, with a clear focus on tackling disadvantage and providing high-quality professional learning.

We are looking for someone who enjoys working with children, can build warm and positive relationships and who shares our commitment to creating a nurturing environment where every child feels safe, happy and valued.

In return, we can offer a friendly and supportive staff team, wonderful children who enjoy learning and the opportunity to become part of an exciting new chapter as the school joins ACE. Staff benefit from being part of a wider family of schools and a culture that values professional growth, collaboration and wellbeing.

Join us at a pivotal and exciting moment of change and become part of a community where you can make a genuine and lasting difference to the lives of children and families.

Visits to the school are warmly encouraged, and we would love prospective applicants to experience first-hand what makes Woolacombe such a special place to work and learn. To arrange a visit, please contact the school office on .

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and satisfactory references.

Further information and an application form can be downloaded from www.alumnismat.org/careers. Your completed application form should be returned to recruitment@alumnismat.org. This post has been advertised across multiple platforms, and we reserve the right to interview and appoint before the closing date should a suitable candidate be identified. Early applications are therefore strongly encouraged.
