Job Description Develop your technical, procurement, and interpersonal skills while becoming an integral part of the Airbus Supply Chain in Manufacturing Engineering (ME) Industrial Systems for Suppliers. Our Industrial System Support for Suppliers (OMS department) ensures the industrialisation of suppliers to meet performance targets for all programmes including SA, A220, LR, A350, and A400M. We are looking for a candidate eager to take on the challenge of working in a highly motivated, fast-moving, and engaged team. Security Clearance Eligibility to gain UK SC Security Clearance.   • The Role The Industrial Leader will support our supplier network, traveling to suppliers worldwide. Responsibilities include delivering technical Manufacturing Engineering (ME) support, managing New Product Introduction, Transfer of Work, and acting as an industrialisation leader across the Single Aisle aircraft family (A320/A321) and potentially other programmes. Key Responsibilities
  • Develop industrial capability and lead industrialisation of aerospace structure and detail parts supply chain.
  • Secure industrial performance, drive industrial improvements and innovation for suppliers.
  • Coordinate activities within your perimeter and cascade information to key stakeholders internally and externally via established reporting.
  • Work on non-quality issues in the Airbus aero structure and detail parts supply chain.
  • Drive process improvement, technology dissemination, and industrial innovation projects at suppliers.
  • Use manufacturing expertise to improve quality and support supplier capability.
  • Act as the manufacturing industrial authority for development projects, focusing on code sign philosophy.
  • Analyse industrial capability of potential suppliers.
  • Contribute to Transfer of Work project teams within the supplier network.
  • Organise industrial kick-off meetings with suppliers.
  • Lead Supplier Industrial Reviews until Industrial Coordination hand-over.
  • Participate in root-cause analysis of technical abnormalities with Procurement Operations to determine causes related to manufacturing capability.
  • Contribute to design reviews with design-to-manufacture perspective for industrialisation.
  • About You
  • Technical background in manufacturing engineering with experience in metallic or composite detail part manufacture.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and methods with the ability to assess design drawings for detailed manufacture, focusing on manufacturability.
  • Understanding of tolerances and drawing dimensioning with machineability in mind.
  • Working knowledge of CATIA.
  • Aerospace experience/background preferred.
  • Degree level in Engineering or equivalent.
