Full Job Description

To co-ordinate the effective delivery of MDT services within the General Surgery Directorate. To provide efficient, high quality and comprehensive support to the Liver MDT. To monitor and mange the care pathways of patients being treated under the MDT. To manage the collection of data in relation to the operation of the MDT Service. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our administrative team to actively support the Directorate in the efficient and effective management of MDTs. The successful candidate will have a methodical approach to work, be extremely well organised and have a flexible attitude incorporating the Trust PROUD values. With a clear understanding of patient confidentiality as well as a background in an administrative setting this post would ideally suit an individual wanting to further their experience in administration. Previous experience would be advantageous. Effective computer skills are essential and experience of using a hospital computer system would also be desirable.,

  • NVQ III / equivalent qualification or relevant level of experience in Office Administration or IT / Information Management Systems
  • English & Maths GCSE Grade C/4 or O level or equivalent experience/ qualifications

  • Relevant clinical directorate experience within the NHS or related healthcare experience
  • Experience of dealing with nonroutine patient pathways and problem solving to expedite barriers to timely treatment
  • Relevant experience working in a multidisciplinary environment
  • Office procedures - filing, keyboard skills - ability to type
  • Previous office experience
  • Experience / ability to work to deadlines
  • Working knowledge of Lorenzo/ICE/NHS NET or similar system
  • Desirable
  • Previous MDT experience
  • Previous Medical Records experience
  • Use of work processing packages
  • Touch typist
  • Working knowledge / experience of Infoflex
  • Audit experience, Experience of good organisational skills, prioritisation and communication skills
  • Experience of being able to work as part of a team, whilst being able to work independently
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Understanding of the role of a cancer MDT and MDT Facilitator

  • The knowledge or recording, retrieving and collecting patient information within the NHS
