Full Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for the role of Matron for Trauma. We are looking for an ambitious, driven individual who has experience as a Leader and Manager, with proven track record of implementing and sustaining change. The post holder covers the Major Trauma, Acute Rehab, Fractured Neck of Femur and Neurosurgical Wards and has responsibility for multiple ACP's and CNS teams.
To provide senior leadership to the nursing workforce within the directorate(s) to deliver frontline professional and operational priorities and manage the Trauma and Specialist Nurses. To support the Clinical Director and as part of the Directorate management team develop, implement and monitor quality and business plans for the directorates.
To facilitate staff and team development and ensure effectivecommunication systems operate within the Directorates.
Matrons are expected to work for the clinical and business success of their directorates and tocontribute to the corporate success of the Trust. This will require innovation and may includeparticipation in the development of corporate policies and strategic plans and initiating changesin line with Trust Management Team decisions to local services.
Participation with Operational Matron of the day rota., Working closely with the other Planned Care Matrons you will be responsible for ensuring quality care is delivered safely to all patients within your area of speciality. You will be responsible for leading the governance agenda and ensuring Trust standards are followed and implemented.
