Pay: £172.98 to £200 per day (depending on experience.)


A welcoming and forward-thinking secondary school in Caerphilly is seeking a passionate and committed Teacher of Maths to join their team from September 2026 on a full-time basis. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to inspire curiosity and a love of Maths across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, within a supportive and well-resourced department. ECTs/NQTs and experienced teachers are warmly encouraged to apply.



About the Role


You will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality Maths lessons across the curriculum, supporting pupils to develop a strong understanding of the subject. You will play a key role in raising attainment, promoting mathematical thinking, and encouraging a sense of curiosity and discovery in learners of all abilities.



  • Deliver engaging and high-quality Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4

  • Support pupils to develop a strong understanding of the subject

Requirements



  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Ability to teach Maths across KS3 and KS4

  • Strong subject knowledge

  • Enthusiasm and passion for Maths education

  • Excellent classroom management skills

  • Ability to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons

  • Strong commitment to pupil progress and achievement



Desirable



  • Experience teaching GCSE & A Level Maths

  • ECT/NQT applications welcomed

  • Understanding of the Curriculum for Wales



Essential Safeguarding & Compliance



  • Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

  • Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)

  • Two professional references
