Maths and Science Teacher (FTC)

We are looking for an ambitious, energetic and committed teacher of maths & science to enhance our students' experience and progress. The successful candidate will be teaching our young people who present with learning needs and behaviours related to SEMH issues, ADHD, ASD and other complex needs. The ideal candidate will hold QTS and be able to develop and oversee the mathematics curriculum and teach mathematics (predominantly Functional Skills) to students in Key Stages 3, 4 & 5 and to take on development and delivery of a science curriculum appropriate to the needs and aspirations of our cohort.,

• Planning and delivery of engaging Maths and Science lessons for all students
• Creating bespoke lesson plans tailored to individual student needs and interests
• Preparing high-quality teaching resources and supporting non-specialist teachers with effective delivery
• Assessing student progress and contribute to reporting outcomes
• Communicating effectively with parents and carers regarding progress and wellbeing
• Providing pastoral support to a small tutor group
The successful candidate will be a qualified teacher and ideally have experience of teaching and supporting young people within SEN.

About the school: Aspris Telford School is an independent day school, located in an attractive semi-rural setting just a short walk from the historic town of Ironbridge.
