Looking for a rewarding role supporting pupils in Mathematics?
The Supply Register is recruiting a Maths Specialist Teaching Assistant to work full-time at William Lovell Academy.
This is an exciting opportunity for a confident and enthusiastic individual with strong Maths skills to support students in improving their attainment, confidence, and engagement within the subject.
About the Role
As a Maths Specialist Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teaching staff to provide targeted support to students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
The role will involve delivering small-group interventions, supporting pupils in lessons, and helping students overcome barriers to learning in Mathematics.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide classroom support within Maths lessons
- Deliver targeted interventions and booster sessions
- Support students on a 1:1 and small-group basis
- Help pupils build confidence and improve attainment in Mathematics
- Assist teaching staff with lesson preparation and resources
- Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback where required
What We're Looking For
- Strong Maths knowledge and confidence supporting secondary-aged pupils
- Experience working with young people in an education, tutoring, coaching, or similar setting
- A patient, adaptable, and proactive approach
- Strong communication and behaviour-management skills
- A genuine passion for supporting students to achieve their potential
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
