Maternity Support Worker (Internal Only)

This role requires individuals to work as a proactive member of the team and to undertake a range of duties to assist the ward team in maintaining the smooth running of the clinical area., You will be supporting the multidisciplinary team with clinics held in the from early pregnancy and through the antenatal period, you would play a vital role in helping to deliver safe, effective care to women and their families with clear documentation.

You will undertake venepuncture, recording of maternal observations and supporting expectant women and their families through their pregnancy journey with underpinned knowledge of public health promotion.

You will also work with the team to maintain excellent standards of cleanliness throughout the department.

Are you reliable, motivated, enthusiastic and looking for a new challenge?, Applicants require a good standard of general education to GCSE level to include English and Mathematics. Applicants must be reliable and committed to supporting delivering excellent maternity care. Basic knowledge of data protection, recent experience with a variety of IT systems and confidentiality are essential. Basic antenatal care and maternity services would be advantageous., We welcome applications from Graduate visa holders; it is important to note that you must have a minimum of 6 months before this expires at the start of your employment for training and operational reasons., Please be aware that this post requires an Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check with barred lists, the cost of which is payable by the successful candidate. If you have lived or worked abroad for 6 months or more in the last 5 years you will need to obtain an overseas police clearance.
