Maternity Support Worker - Inpatient Midwifery

An exciting opportunity has arisen for Maternity Support Worker posts to join the inpatient MSW team, You will be experienced, enthusiastic and caring and must be able to work autonomously, demonstrating excellent clinical skills to provide women centred care. You will be expected to work across both the maternity ward and delivery suite as part of your role and working with midwives., The successful candidates will be working within the midwifery team supporting midwives to ensure all women receive optimum care, implementation of care and a range of designated patient duties to include the recording of patient details/records., The successful applicant/s will work in rotation within the maternity unit to include Ward 53 (antenatal and postnatal). It will be in a shift pattern to include weekdays, weekends and night duties.

The successful applicant will be passionate about midwifery care, be committed to providing care and support to women, babies and their families. You will need to demonstrate your commitment to ongoing professional development within your role, with a commitment to working as part of a team and willing to demonstrate a high standard of evidence-based care in line with local and national initiatives. You should be able to work in a team as well as have the ability to work without direct supervision.
