Maternity Support Worker

We are seeking an enthusiastic, highly motivated and dynamic Maternity Support Worker to join our friendly & dedicated team.

You will be working within the Maternity Outpatients Department (ANC) and the Antenatal Day Assessment Unit. You will undertake a range of duties in the Maternity Outpatients setting under the supervision of a Registered Midwife. Your working week is essentially Monday- Friday, with some weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis. Successful applicants will receive a comprehensive orientation programme and are assured that they will receive appropriate support and training to meet expected competencies., Maternity support workers (MSWs) are an integral part of the maternity workforce and play an important role in supporting midwives and the wider maternity teams, mothers and their babies through pregnancy, labour and during the postnatal period.

Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust provides a full range of hospital and community services for people across East Cheshire (population 399K) and West Cheshire and Chester (population 357K).

The Trust provides high quality planned and emergency care, cardiac, critical care, child health, maternity services and intermediate care at Leighton Hospital in Crewe, Victoria Infirmary in Northwich, and Elmhurst Intermediate Care Centre in Winsford.

The Trust provides 500 beds and employs over 5,000 members of staff.

A wide range of community services is provided across 26 medical centres and schools by Central Cheshire Integrated Care Partnership, in collaboration with Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS FT and the South Cheshire and Vale Royal GP Alliance.
