Are you an enthusiastic midwife who enjoys offering a high standard antenatal care to women/pregnant people? If you enjoy risk assessing, public health promotion and a work variety then this might be the role for you! You will have the opportunity to work in partnership with the obstetrician, the pregnant person and other multi-displinary teams. The role is core within the services of the outpatient department, which will include working within the Antenatal Clinic, Maternity Day Assessment Unit and Maternity Helpline. Please note, this is a full-time position we are offering. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with obstetricians, the pregnant person and other multidisciplinary teams. This multidisciplinary approach ensures comprehensive care, addressing each woman's physical, social, and emotional complexities. - The midwife is responsible and accountable for his/her own midwifery practice.
- To work in partnership with women and their families, GP, obstetrician and other agencies to ensure optimum care.
- To act as an advocate and support for parents.
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate the care of mothers and babies in accordance with theTrust's policies and guidelines.
- Strive for continuity of care and informed client choice within the limitations of the service.
- Facilitate the learning of midwifery skills through supervision, teaching and support.
- Actively promote and encourage a healthy lifestyle, advising and arranging support for women as required.
- Liaise with multidisciplinary teams with regard to arranging appointments management of pregnancy and postnatal care of mother and baby.

Registered Midwife - BSc in Midwifery
- Assessor/mentorship course or full SSSA equivalent
- Champion for midwifery led care, Willing to work in all areas of maternity
- Excellent clinical decision making skills
- Knowledge of obstetric Emergency skills and drills and the ability to perform in an emergency situation
- IV drugs administration and cannulation, Ability to deal with difficult situations/people and reduce conflict
- Completed preceptorship course if applicable
- Awareness of professional responsibilities
- Able to demonstrate an understanding of clinical governance and risk assessment
