Full Job Description
Our Matchday Operations Department plays a pivotal role in planning, co-ordinating and delivering all aspects of matchday activity, ensuring each fixture is executed safely, efficiently and to the highest professional standards. The team is central to creating a seamless experience for players, officials, supporters, staff and wider stakeholders. By working collaboratively across the Club and with external partners, they drive operational excellence while ensuring full compliance with Premier League, UEFA and FA regulatory requirements., We are looking for Matchday Ball Assistant Chaperone who will lead and manage our ball assistant function for our Men's First Team home matches and U21 and U18 matches as and when required. This is predominantly a matchday role but there will be administrative duties and meetings which will need to be picked up outside of matchdays.
You will be the first point of contact in relation to our matchday ball assistants with a particular focus on communicating with parents / guardians around matters including inductions, training, rotas and sign and sign out processes. You will liaise with our Men's Coaching Teams when needed to ensure the highest possible operational effectiveness during matches.
One of your main responsibilities will be ensuring all Health and Safety and Safeguarding requirements are met ultimately ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for our Matchday Ball Assistants.

The Person
We are looking for a confident, organised and personable individual with experience of working with and supervising young people, and a strong understanding of safeguarding principles supported by a current safeguarding qualification. You will also need a chaperone licence which the Club will be able to support you in obtaining. Experience in a professional football environment and FA Coaching qualifications are desirable.
You will need to be an excellent communicator, able to engage effectively with a wide range of people, and will bring a friendly yet professional approach, particularly in a matchday environment. You will be detail-focused, calm under pressure and capable of managing tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
You will need to be available to work all Men's First Team home matches, and our U21 and U18 fixtures as and when required which will include evenings and weekends.
