This is a unique opportunity to play an influencing role in transforming production scheduling across the Air Sector. Working at the centre of a newly established scheduling service, you'll help shape innovative approaches to delivering one of the largest and most highly detailed multi-customer production portfolios in the business. By bringing together data, planning tools and cross-functional collaboration, you'll support the successful delivery of production programmes across multiple aircraft platforms and customer contracts. Collaborating with stakeholders across the global Air Sector, you'll drive the adoption of new processes, integrated planning methodologies and enterprise-wide ways of working. This role offers significant exposure to strategic programmes, business transformation and operational leadership, alongside excellent opportunities for professional growth while contributing to the future delivery capability of BAE Systems. Core duties:
- Leading and developing a team of schedulers while contributing directly to multi-faceted portfolio planning activities
- Consolidating project schedules into an integrated portfolio plan, aligning milestones, dependencies and critical paths
- Engaging with stakeholders to provide schedule insight, highlighting risks, opportunities and key delivery actions
- Coordinating scheduling standards, governance and best practices to ensure consistent, reliable planning data
- Balancing people leadership while dynamically scheduling delivery, driving continuous improvement and capability development across the function Essential Skills:
- Extensive planning and scheduling experience gained within large-scale projects, programmes or multi-layered business environments
- Demonstrable experience overseeing and developing teams, while remaining engaged in scheduling delivery activities
- Expert knowledge of planning and scheduling methodologies, tools and best practices across highly detailed portfolios
- Ability to create, manage and optimise integrated schedules for medium to high-complexity programmes and projects
