Full Job Description

The Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub is our 'front door' to children's social care and receives all safeguarding referrals for children in Oxfordshire. With the help of our partner agencies, we quickly identify risks to vulnerable children and provide a safe and timely response to decide the most effective interventions., Our aim is to identify risks to vulnerable children, at the earliest possible stage, and to provide a safe and speedy triage to determine the most effective interventions so that children, young people, and their families can thrive. Working alongside colleagues in Children's Social Care, Emergency Duty Team, Thames Valley Police, Oxford Health and Oxford University Hospitals, Education, Probation, Fire and Rescue, South Central Ambulance Service, Youth Justice and Oxford City Council, you will have the wrap around support thats essential for you to make a real difference to the lives of children, young people and their families in a fast paced and positively rewarding role.

  • Always learning, withthree years post qualifying Social Worker experience working across multi-agencies, anda passion to grow and develop your skills, so that you can be a positive role model for children and their families.
  • Kindand caring,providing a proactive personalised approach, responding to needs in a timely manner with good communication skills and a professional telephone manner.
  • Advocating forequality and integrityin all you do,providing tailored advice and information to children and families acknowledging the uniqueness ofindividualneeds or situations, referring to other agencies where applicable within the emergencyresponse.
  • Willing totake responsibilityand contribute to the delivery of Oxfordshire County Councils vision andmaintain a 'child/person' focused model of working by exercising professional curiosity in all areas of work.
  • Driven todo things differentlyto embark on a journey of continuous improvement.
