Full Job Description
East Lindsey District Council are looking for an Admin Assistant to assist the Markets Team deliver its markets. The role is fixed term until 31st March 2028. Covering several markets across East Lindsey, Boston Borough and South Holland, you will help deliver a high performing and fit for purpose markets service. You will be expected to work with each Market Officer from each Council and initially attend all markets to understand the layout and operations of each. You will provide operational support in many ways such as, updating our new online and booking payment system across all 3 Councils, take phone calls to provide advice and guidance on the new system, update relevant Excel spreadsheets, log occupancy figures, provide up to date market maps to Erection teams across all 3 Councils by daily deadlines, process trader applications and deal with any enquiries relating to the markets. You will also assist the Market Officers with their social media platforms in promoting the market. This role will be mainly office/home based, and in the absence of the Market Officer, you may be required to occasionally attend the outdoor markets to liaise with Market Traders, conduct basic health and safety checks and support the day to day running of the market. You will also be part of a small team who will implement a new, online booking and payments platform, supporting traders throughout the process.
