Full Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Marketing professional to join our vibrant product marketing team within the Education Division as a Marketing Manager on a 6-month fixed term contract. The role is responsible for building and managing customer-led messages, plans and campaigns for key products and customer segments across audiences and channels, in support of the UK's business goals, market share and revenue targets. You will be ensuring that plans are agreed with key stakeholders and that campaigns are successfully delivered and evaluated - with the aim of engaging audiences, generating leads, driving acquisition, retaining customers and increasing market share. Duties of the role will include:

  • Devise, deliver and evaluate marketing plans and multi-channel campaigns for key products and customer segments as directed by the marketing leadership team and strategy.
  • Work closely with the wider sales and marketing teams to understand market and business priorities and targets each term/year, ensuring they evolve to support changing customer and business needs.
  • Work collaboratively with product, sales and other functions to develop successful customer propositions, messages and experiences in order that we achieve commercial success.
  • Oversee schedules, budgets and metrics so plans are delivered within target and that appropriate levels of spend are allocated to key brands/subjects and their respective channels and activities.
  • Brief and oversee the work of internal and external colleagues on deliverables across key channels such as CRM, website, Amazon, email, social media, design - including agencies and freelancers.
  • Keep up to date on customer and market insights, considering how they impact marketing plans and campaigns and where any developments may lead to risks or new opportunities.
  • Take on or contribute to initiatives and projects within the marketing team, as required.

    To be successful in this role, you will ideally have/be:
  • Demonstrable experience of defining and delivering successful digital marketing strategies across the full customer lifecycle
  • Experience/understanding of marketing processes including multi-channel campaigns, lead generation, customer value proposition development, KPI setting, and sales enablement
  • Experience of setting KPIs and analysing results to inform future planning
  • Excellent organization skills, with an ability to independently manage a varied and busy workload
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills, including copywriting
  • Willingness and flexibility to embrace change and think creatively to solve problems
  • Experience in managing a wide portfolio of projects and responsibilities, and ability to take initiative to drive projects forward
  • Strong relationship-building and team-working skills with experience of collaborating, negotiating and influencing key stakeholders in a matrix environment
  • Knowledge and experience of working in the education or learning and development sectors (desirable)
