Founded in 1922, the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra is the oldest radio orchestra in the world, and the BBC's orchestra for the North of England. We're part of the cultural fabric of Greater Manchester and when we're not in the studio, we can often be found performing in schools or working with children and young people right across the region. We're also the orchestra behind the award-winning television series for Cbeebies, Musical Storyland, which has now been streamed over 14 million times. The Marketing Coordinator is a key role within the Philharmonic's marketing team, perfect for a communications professional in the early stages of their career, and will support the Marketing team to build content, deliver campaigns, and develop audiences. WHY JOIN THE TEAM You will be joining a dynamic and ambitious marketing team, committed to telling our story and connecting with audiences. You will have the chance to attend incredible live events, including at the Bridgewater Hall in Manchester, the Royal Northern College of Music, Aviva Studios, the BBC Proms and on tour across the UK. You will have the chance to collaborate closely with the BBC's other Orchestras and Choirs, as well as other marketing teams across the BBC. This is an exciting role, with opportunities for growth across all areas of marketing. YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT:
- Supports the overall development and delivery of marketing campaigns
- Also runs some contained end-to-end marketing campaigns for less complex deliverables in the Marketing Plan
- Assists in the planning and creation of digital and social media content
- Assists in the development and management of events
- Organises all campaign collateral and documentation such that we maintain strong records of assets, plans, and performance of individual campaigns.
Ability to work on own initiative while seeking appropriate input - Excellent attention to detail, and strong planning skills
- Good written and spoken communication, with good presentation skills
- Able to work as a member of a team and collaborate across organisational boundaries
- Ability to meet targets and deadlines while managing a wide range of concurrent activities. DESIRABLE:
- Experience of working in the media from an agency or client-side perspective, and/or with artists and creatives
- Knowledge of the UK's arts and culture sector
- Strong social media skills
- Strong copywriting skills
- Experience working with Adobe Creative Suite

PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: £26,000 - £30,000 (17.5 hours per week pro rata) depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience.
