You will lead the evolution of market research strategies, ensuring high-quality, consistent, and innovative approaches that translate insights into impactful actions. You will act as a trusted partner to the Dermatology business, supporting a key launch product by delivering meaningful insights that guide strategic decisions and improve speed to action. This role plays a central part in advancing Takeda's insight-to-action ambition while driving simplification and continuous improvement across market research practices. How you will contribute

  • Guide and support colleagues across the Insights & Analytics network, building capabilities and strengthening best practices
  • Define clear standards for insight generation, storytelling, and knowledge sharing to maximise reuse and business impact
  • Manage vendor partnerships and budgets, optimising cost, quality, and efficiency across projects
  • Drive innovation in market research, leveraging new technologies (including AI) and alternative delivery models to enhance insight generation
  • Ensure governance and adoption of consistent processes, tools, and reporting standards across markets
  • Partner closely with the Dermatology team to shape and deliver an insight strategy aligned with business priorities and launch needs
  • Provide a strong external perspective, bringing forward customer and market insights to challenge thinking and enable better decisions
  • Coordinate competitive intelligence activities and promote a proactive, self-service approach to market monitoring

8-10+ years of relevant experience in market research, insights & analytics, commercial excellence, or related functions, including significant hands-on delivery of primary market research and interpretation of insights to inform business decisions
  • Bachelor's degree required; master's degree (e.g. MBA or MSc) preferred. Fluency in English required
  • Proven experience operating across multiple markets within pharma/biopharma or a similarly complex, regulated environment, with a strong understanding of commercial strategy, product lifecycle, and launch dynamics
  • Track record of driving harmonised ways of working, scaling best practices, and embedding new methodologies across regions or teams, including vendor consolidation and process optimisation
  • Ability to engage, challenge, and influence senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams without direct authority, acting as a trusted partner in shaping strategic decision
  • Strong ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights, with a focus on enabling decision-making, prioritisation, and measurable business impact
  • Proven ability to operate effectively in a matrix organisation, balancing competing priorities, managing budgets, and aligning stakeholders across global, regional, and local levels
  • Experience selecting and managing research agencies and partners, ensuring quality, cost efficiency, and fit-for-purpose methodologies across diverse project types
  • Curiosity and drive to explore new approaches, including digital tools and AI-enabled methodologies, to enhance insight generation and efficiency
  • Ability to synthesise complex information into clear, compelling narratives tailored to executive audiences, supporting faster and better decision-making
