We can supercharge your future
At Nissan Sunderland, our future is electric. In every sense of the word. Right now, we're transforming our plant to create a world-first Electric Vehicle (EV) manufacturing hub. And we couldn't be prouder of the role we're playing in driving electrification. Join our Manufacturing team, and you'll understand why we're so excited. You'll discover high-energy work, real innovation and career paths that don't stop at your job title. It's an opportunity to bring your spark and explore what's next. And it's your chance to grow your own electric future.
What's it's really like to work here
Life in our factory is hands-on, fast-paced and highly organised. You'll learn as you go, and be on your feet - surrounded by the electric atmosphere of the UK's largest car manufacturing plant.
But what might surprise you is that there's also a flip side. You'll get the opportunity to rotate around different tasks, learn new skills and become part of our outstanding manufacturing team. We've designed our processes to be as efficient as possible.
What you'll need
- Resilience and reliability
- The ability to understand processes
- A flexible approach to shift work, overtime and job rotation
- A safety-conscious attitude with the drive to learn new skills
- Although not essential, previous experience in a similar role would be great, so when applying please provide as much detail on your employment history as possible
- You must be 18 or over on the day of starting your employment with us and you'll need to successfully complete all stages of our recruitment process
- You must be eligible to work in the UK and we'll need to see proof of this (this role is not suitable for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker visa)
Please be aware that we have a zero tolerance approach to the misuse of drugs and alcohol in the workplace and carry out pre-employment testing during the hiring process. A positive result will mean we are unable to progress your application.
What's in it for you?
We're offering:
- A temporary contract with a starting salary of £28,079 rising to £29,104 in your first 12 months
- A comprehensive training programme with off the job learning to bring you up to speed when you first join us
- The opportunity to join our Private Medical Insurance from day one
- Shift allowance, along with paid overtime and 26 days' holidays (plus bank holidays)
- A wide range of perks and benefits, from employee car schemes to discounts on fitness and leisure facilities, and much more.
