Full Job Description
As part of the Manufacturing Engineering team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the manufacture of current and future products across our entire product range and the full programme lifecycle. Working closely with stakeholders across Manufacturing and Engineering you will use your knowledge and experiences to support our manufacturing systems and processes. Core duties:
- Owning and developing PCB processes including SMT, Wave and Selective Solder, Hand Solder, Press Fit, Cleaning, AOI, X-Ray, and Conformal Coating
- Creating and maintaining manufacturing plans, routings, and work instructions
- Generating and optimising machine programs such as SMT placement and AOI
- Providing day-to-day technical support and troubleshooting on the shop floor
- Driving continuous improvement focused on Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery
- Supporting root cause analysis, corrective actions, and audit readiness, The Manufacturing Engineering team play a pivotal role in supporting the manufacture of current and future products across our entire product range and the full programme lifecycle. Working closely with stakeholders across Manufacturing and Engineering, the team use their knowledge and experiences to support our manufacturing systems and processes during initial bid, new product introduction, production and repair to ultimately ensure product quality is met within schedule and budget targets. - Strong technical background in Printed Circuit Board manufacture and hands-on understanding of shop-floor challenges
- Knowledge of IPC standards (eg IPC-A-600 and IPC-6010), with the ability to interpret, apply, and enforce requirements within an aerospace quality framework
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work effectively with Design, Quality, Production, and Supply Chain teams
