Manual Machinist

Operate and set up manual centre lathes to produce high-quality, precision components
Perform turning, milling, and fitting operations to tight tolerances
Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately
Measure and inspect finished parts using precision tools to ensure they meet quality standards
Maintain machines and equipment to ensure optimum performance and reliability

We are looking for a time-served Manual Machinist / Turner to join our client's skilled machine shop. If you take pride in precision engineering & manufacturing, enjoy working on manual machines, and have a high standard of workmanship, this may be of interest to you., Time-served Turner or Toolmaker with proven manual machining experience
Strong proficiency in setting up and operating manual centre lathes
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Competent in precision measurement and inspection techniques
Solid understanding of machining processes, tooling, and materials
Responsible approach to machine maintenance and workplace safety
Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills
Proactive, organised, and a positive team player with a can-do attitude

Relevant technical qualifications or apprenticeships are advantageous.
Desire to learn new skills, including CNC machining.
