Full Job Description
The current opportunity is available for current Manchester Met students, to apply you must be based in the UK for the duration of the role. The Manchester School of Theatre is looking to appoint a social media assistant to collaborate with the team on the development of the school's public image through its website, Instagram and LinkedIn accounts. The successful student will -
- Assist the team in writing and editing posts and visual materials.
- Create engaging multimedia content across multiple platforms.
- Assist in identifying events and topics. Dates and Hours of Work This role will be for up to 4 hours per week (to be worked on a flexible basis around university commitments), across the following periods:
- Monday 21 September 2026 to Friday 18 December 2026 = 12 weeks
- Monday 25 January 2027 to Friday 19 March 2027 = 8 weeks

This role is only open to current Manchester Met students who are/have: - Studying on one of the Manchester School of Theatre courses.
- A good understanding of various social media platforms and their role in recruitment and publicity, and a thorough understanding of the subject area, the School and its courses.
- Able to work independently.
- Proactive, creative and propositional, meet deadlines and have a professional attitude when interacting with other staff members and students.
