VolkerFitzpatrick offers a range and depth of civil engineering, infrastructure and building services. We contribute to vital parts of the nation's life through projects of strategic importance, while delivering those less visible, yet essential, works required by both private and public sectors. We build, renew, maintain highways, airports, railway infrastructure, and commercial, industrial and educational buildings.
As part of our continued growth within the water sector, we are seeking an experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor to join our team delivering major infrastructure projects through the Anglian Water Major Projects Framework. The Anglian Water AMP8 programme (2025-2030) represents one of the largest infrastructure investment programmes in the UK water sector, creating an exceptional opportunity for commercial professionals seeking exposure to major projects, collaborative contracting, and industry-leading delivery models. Anglian Water's AMP8 investment programme is valued at approximately £11bn, with billions of pounds of work being delivered through established alliances and frameworks across the East of England. This framework allocates £1.5bn of work. This is a unique opportunity to play a leading commercial role on a programme that will transform water infrastructure across the region, whilst working within a collaborative and forward-thinking project environment.
About you
We are looking for a commercially astute and proactive leader who thrives in a collaborative infrastructure environment and has a passion for delivering complex projects successfully.
Ideally, you will have:
- Significant experience operating at Senior Quantity Surveyor or Managing Quantity Surveyor level within major infrastructure, civil engineering or utilities projects.
- Strong knowledge of NEC forms of contract, particularly NEC3 and NEC4.
- Proven experience managing commercial teams and developing people.
- A track record of successfully delivering projects with values ranging from tens to hundreds of millions of pounds.
- Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify risks, opportunities and value-enhancing solutions.
- Experience of framework delivery environments and collaborative contracting models.
- A degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related discipline.
- Membership of RICS, ICES or a similar professional body (or working towards chartership).
If your past experience doesn't match perfectly with every requirement of the job description, we still encourage you to apply. You may be just the right candidate for us.
