Full Job Description

This is a fee-earning intelligence role at the heart of our Counter Fraud team and Fraud and Financial Crime practice area, based in our Birmingham office and serving clients nationally. You'll carry real responsibility for identifying and growing the firm's intelligence offering, supporting insurers, local authorities, public sector bodies, and corporate clients across due diligence, litigation support, fraud investigations, and asset tracing. As the managing analyst for the Counter Fraud & Intelligence team, you'll be responsible for ensuring quality and consistency of service delivery to all clients at all times. What you'll be doing

  • Conducting detailed OSINT desktop investigations and intelligence enquiries and analysis, and preparing reports and recommendations for clients.
  • Providing ad hoc intelligence advice and investigation support to the Counter Fraud and wider client teams; preparing witness statements; preserving searches and intelligence enquiries as court-ready evidence; and attending court as required.
  • Independently managing GDPR-compliant DPA requests to other insurers and businesses (including IFIG and DVLA vehicle histories) and completing UK GDPR/DPA-compliant information requests in a timely fashion on instruction from fee earners and/or clients.

Full working knowledge of OSINT tools and industry-standard validation tools used to verify identity, financial information, and locate assets.
  • Understanding of fraud risk management, fraud vulnerabilities, and the investigation skills required to address them, including experience of tools used to investigate fraud, financial crime, and cyber vulnerabilities within organisations.
  • Demonstrable intelligence, investigation, or security/enforcement agency experience, or equivalent in an insurance, business fraud, or criminal investigation setting.

We offer a flexible and hybrid working model. Our comprehensive benefits package includes private medical insurance, pension contributions, an employee assistance programme, and a range of wellbeing initiatives. Enhanced parental leave is also available, reflecting our commitment to supporting you through every stage of your career and life.
  • Many of our people work flexibly in some way and we're open to considering how we can accommodate flexible working arrangements alongside role requirements. If this is important to you, please talk to us about it during the recruitment process. We celebrate diversity and welcome applicants from all backgrounds. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, colour, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, social economic background or age. We're a Disability Confident Employer and will offer an interview to disabled applicants who best meet the minimum/essential criteria for the role.
