Carnival UK is in search of a Senior Manager, Maritime Projects, who is crucial in supporting our direction and nurturing a high-performing team for our Queen Mary 2 refit in 2027., Our Maritime & Sustainability Team supports the delivery of major maritime structural projects within the Queen Mary 2 refit. Key accountabilities include:

  • Lead delivery of major maritime structural projects within the Queen Mary 2 refit.
  • Act as the project lead for assigned structural enhancement workstreams.
  • Serve as the internal conduit between external designers/engineers, classification society, regulators, and internal stakeholders.
  • Manage project timelines, approval pathways, and dependencies to ensure statutory and class approvals are achieved on time.
  • Positioned within our internal structure from CUK15 (entry level) to CUK1 (Brand President), this role is classified as a CUK06, offered as a full-time position, on a 12-month fixed term basis. We offer hybrid work including up to two days from home.

  • Strong project management capability within complex maritime or engineering environments.
  • Foundational naval architecture understanding or strong engineering background with naval architecture appreciation.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and interrogate structural and technical drawings.
  • Experience working with external designers, engineers, and classification bodies.
