Manager - Macro Strategy, EY Parthenon - London

You'll advise clients across all sectors supporting key decision makers in developing and executing strategies to manage various macro challenges and opportunities, with a strong focus on translating these challenges into action plans across a range of different engagements including supply chain, greenfield projects, pre-deal (unlocking policy dependencies, carve out blue prints), post-deal (integration planning, tracking), business cases and impact assessments, growth strategies and market entry, energy strategy, scenario planning and restructuring (incl rapid cost reduction).

• Project Management - be part of project teams comprising colleagues from our transactions and advisory practices
• Business and Commercially Driven - working in a fast-paced, exciting environment with the ability to work through ambiguity
• Intellectual curiosity - with a strong desire to find new data, patterns and correlations to help clients look a lot deeper than the headlines; strong desire to continuously learn
• Strategic mind-set - ability to connect dots and cross-pollinate across several different drivers and forces; ability to identify "net effects" and avoid looking in siloes
• Business economics - grasp of P&L, cash flow and cost of capital
• Commercial origination; assist in researching and writing reports, preparing pitches and presentations, and attending meetings with clients to help sell work; as well as client and media events / interactions
• Building Relationships - Strong working relationships with senior clients, including influence, advice and support to key decision makers
To qualify for the role you must have Specialism in at least two of these areas:
• Professional services / consulting
• Strong analytical skills and financial acumen
• Macro economics, policy and geopolitics
Ideally you'll also have
• Experience of delivering high-quality reports and presentations
• Strong team participation skills, particularly teams with diverse skills and backgrounds,
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Strong work initiative and the ability to adapt to new challenges and ideas
• Professionalism and consistency in approach to client work, internal business and practice development projects
