Full Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Manager with deep Life Sciences & Healthcare expertise, who can translate complex industry trends into actionable insights as to drive client engagement. You will lead a team of two Managers. This individual will be a visible industry voice, adept at fostering collaboration and leveraging digital and AI trends to strengthen Deloitte's market position. The successful candidate will bring a deep understanding of the evolving Life Sciences and Healthcare landscape, including the structural, regulatory, and technological forces reshaping the industry. They will combine this with a strong grasp of digital, data, and innovation trends, including direct experience in digital transformation within the sector. As a visible industry voice for Deloitte, you will leverage your credibility to engage both internally and externally, amplifying our perspectives and supporting senior leaders. This role carries significant leadership responsibility, both within the wider Insights team and in managing a small team of managers. You will work across service lines, AI core teams, global industry colleagues, PR teams, ensuring alignment with our UK Life Sciences and Healthcare Industry leader, Clients & Markets Business Partner, and Marketing Lead to maximise commercial impact.,
- Lead the end-to-end process of scoping, researching, writing, and presenting commercially focused Life Sciences and Healthcare insights aligned to Deloitte's growth priorities.
- Curate and disseminate targeted insight for key accounts and priority clients, most commonly presenting research in private directly to clients
- Contribute actively to cross-industry research initiatives, collaborating with other Industry Insight Leads. Client & market engagement:
- Enable senior stakeholders with tailored insights, provocations, and talking points to support origination and relationship building.
- Build Deloitte's external industry presence through thought leadership, conference support, and providing commentary in the press.
- Develop and nurture your professional network as a vital source of insight and connections.
- Leverage Deloitte's convening power to bring stakeholders together for research-driven discussions. Internal leadership & collaboration:
- Partner with the UK Life Sciences and Healthcare Industry leader, Business Partner and Marketing Lead to ensure alignment between insight, go-to-market strategy, and campaign execution.
- Equip account teams with curated intelligence and ensure insights are embedded into go-to-market strategies.
- Deliver internal presentations to build awareness and familiarity among colleagues with our latest thinking and insights.
- Contribute as a senior leader within the wider Insights team, helping shape the firm's overall insight agenda.
- Collaborate with global teams, leaders in our Businesses, our AI core teams, and PR teams to align and enhance cross-market and cross-sector insight. Team Leadership:
- Lead, coach, and develop two managers, fostering a culture of excellence and commercial relevance.
Previous Life Sciences & Healthcare experience is essential, coupled with a fundamental curiosity and passion for the industry. - Deep understanding of the Life Sciences and Healthcare ecosystem, including transformation drivers.
- Fluency in digital and data trends and their impact on the industry, with direct experience in digital transformation within the health care or life sciences sector being ideal.
- Awareness of the opportunities as well as the limitations of Generative AI tools in an insights context. Communication & influence:
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to distil complex ideas into clear, compelling narratives.
- Credibility and presence to influence senior stakeholders internally and externally.
- Ability to present to large audiences, as well as individual clients.
- Adept at expressing ideas succinctly both orally and in written documents, and able to robustly defend points of view in client conversations, with a preference for verbal communication over extensive written reports. Leadership & collaboration:
- Strong commercial mindset - understanding the benefit of using research ideas to promote the firm.
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop teams in a fast-paced, client-oriented environment.
- A collaborative instinct, with a proactive approach to communication and a willingness to consult widely with others.
- Strong project management skills, capable of overseeing complex insight initiatives from conception to delivery. Research & analytical acumen:
- Strong understanding of research techniques of all types, including both qualitative and quantitative methodologies.
- Ability to critically assess and synthesise diverse data sources to form robust, actionable insights.
