As Resource Manager, you will lead and manage Autism and Learning Disability staff at the Welford Centre day service, to deliver safe, effective and person-centred support. You will oversee service delivery, staffing, performance, budgets, quality standards and operational procedures, ensuring services meet agreed objectives and comply with relevant legislation, policy and statutory requirements. You will play a key role in planning and improving service provision, supporting change, contributing to policies and procedures, and building strong working relationships with internal and external partners. You will promote creative and innovative approaches, support people to express themselves and make choices, and help ensure high-quality services for autistic people and people with learning disabilities.

We are looking for someone who is calm, confident and values-led, with experience of managing staff and services in a local authority or similar setting. You will have strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills, knowledge of safeguarding, the Mental Capacity Act and the Care Act 2014, and an understanding of the rights and needs of autistic people and people with learning disabilities. You will hold, or be working towards, a relevant Level 4 qualification and a Registered Manager qualification. You will be able to manage a demanding workload, meet deadlines, support staff across multiple locations and take a flexible approach to work location, duties and hours.

Are you looking for a leadership role where you can make a real difference to the lives of autistic people and people with learning disabilities? This could be the job for you. Grade N10, £50,269 - £54,495 per year. Full time, permanent, 37 hours per week. Why work for Newcastle City Council?
