Full Job Description
As a member of the UK firm's central Internal Communications & Engagement function, this role offers varied challenges with a real opportunity to make a difference. The role is dedicated to helping Deloitte's client-facing practitioners feel more confident with clients, equipping them with compelling, engaging, commercially-relevant communications - as well as ensuring the client voice is present in the firm's internal communication wherever appropriate.
Reporting to the Head of Internal Communications, UK Clients & Markets, and working in alignment with the Clients & Markets function, the successful candidate will have built their essential skills and knowledge as an Internal Communicator, showing plenty of ability in planning, delivery and measurement - all with the stakeholder engagement needed of an IC pro. Working alongside senior Internal Communications professionals in our four businesses, with our UK Firmwide team and our Executive Communications team, you will develop and deliver engaging Internal Communications activities for each of our identified market themes, including AI and Sustainability. - This role is perfect for a passionate and professional Internal Communicator with experience of working across multiple activities in a large, complex, matrixed organisation - as well as a commitment to innovation and continuous improvement.
- You will be creative, able to own and sell new ideas, offer challenging perspectives and know how to think strategically, representing the Comms discipline with gravitas to senior leaders, and have the ability to deliver tactically and at pace. Essential skills · Extensive Internal Communications experience · Excellent verbal and written communications with a flair for creative storytelling coupled with great attention to detail · Strong understanding of tone of voice and a natural journalistic/storytelling style · Practical knowledge of applying AI to support content creation, editing and workflow, with an inquisitive mind to continue challenging how things should be done · Sound judgement and the ability to translate firmwide communication principles to specific parts of an organisation · Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to build solid relationships and gain credibility and trust with senior stakeholders, influencing them · Resilience, confidence to stand firm and say no when needed, while remaining diplomatic and consensus-driven · Strategic thinker with excellent project management and organisational skills, and the ability to work under pressure and deliver against multiple priorities simultaneously, prioritising appropriately · Great team player and networker, with the confidence to build their own brand and the ability to drive their own agenda, with minimal supervision Additional desirable experience · Experience of crisis and emergency communications in a large scale, complex organisation · Experience of new technologies including all typical office applications · Specific experience with Microsoft SharePoint based websites/portals, the Poppulo mail platform, and Viva Engage community management · Journalism training, writing qualification or education background in languages, humanities or other writing based studies Connect to your business - Enabling Functions
