Full Job Description
In this role you will contribute to delivering the annual Assurance plan. Partnering with stakeholders at all levels in the organisation and across IHG functions and multiple locations, you will provide value-added insights, recommendations and influencing decisions to create more responsible and/or more efficient/agile processes and controls. Your day-to-day activities will include:
- Planning audits as part of a team, using Global Assurance's tools, templates, and systems.
- Establishing relationships and connectivity between the Assurance team and business functions
- Organising and conducting stakeholder interviews, typically with the objective to understand risks, tolerances, known issues, current controls, and governance processes
- Assessing technical and management controls' proportionality and adequacy
- Identifying and communicating any observations, improvement ideas to stakeholders (together with the project lead) - and promoting IHG's policies and good governance practices
- Documentation of processes, dataflows, controls, and assessment conclusions Audit topics to be potentially involved in:
- Climate / ESG disclosures
- Employee journey programmes
- Journey to tomorrow programmes
- Development finance, investments / capital projects etc
- Strategic planning, FP&A and business performance (metrics
- Finance transformation, data, systems and digital (cloud)
Experienced Auditor, preferably trained in practice. - Experience in internal audits of ESG and ESG disclosure reporting preferred.
- The job holder will ideally hold a professional accountancy or business qualification (e.g., CISA, ACCA, ACA, CIA, MBA or equivalent from a reputable business school).
- Demonstrated ability to establish credibility with senior management in complex organisations.
