Full Job Description
As a Management Accountant, you will take ownership of a portfolio of clients, delivering high-quality management information, financial insight, and commercial support that helps clients make better business decisions. You will be responsible for producing accurate management accounts, supporting budgeting and forecasting, preparing year-end handovers, and acting as a trusted advisor to both clients and colleagues.,
- Prepare accurate management accounts packs with insightful commentary and KPI reporting.
- Deliver variance analysis and support client decision-making.
- Maintain strong technical accounting knowledge and review junior team members' work.
- Prepare reconciled trial balances and comprehensive working papers.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and business planning activities.
- Build and manage strong client relationships.
- Coach and support accountants within the team.
- Champion technology, automation, and process improvements.
- Communicate effectively across all platforms and stakeholders.
- Contribute to wider business initiatives and continuous improvement. Key Performance Indicators
- Timely and accurate delivery of management accounts.
- Achievement of delivery KPIs and resource budgets.
- High client satisfaction levels.
- High-quality year-end handovers and working papers.
- Strong client relationship ownership.
- Positive contribution to team development and process improvement.
Strong management accounting experience. - Excellent bookkeeping, VAT, and financial reporting knowledge.
- Budgeting and forecasting experience.
- Advanced Excel and cloud accounting software skills.
- Strong communication and client relationship skills., ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent qualification/study.
- Practice experience.
- Experience mentoring junior team members.
