This role is only open to employees working in Finance at the University of Leeds.
Do you want to directly support the achievement of the University's and Faculty's strategic objectives? Do you have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service, guiding, and shaping processes and systems, developing insightful management data that underpins strategic decision making?
Do you thrive on the challenge of large volumes of complex data and providing insightful management information that will influence and underpin financial sustainability.
Can you deliver an elevated level of Management accounting service, working within external regulatory and University boundaries while recognising the unique requirements of multiple academic business units. Building a strong network of value adding relationships across the Faculty and wider University.
You will be a key member of the Faculty of Medicine & Heath and Biological Sciences Finance Hub. Shaping the faculties financial framework and operating guidelines, consolidating, influencing, and driving a culture of added value and strategic financial support. Working closely with colleagues within the schools and institutes as well as wider academic stakeholders and the central University, you will facilitate consistency, efficiency and value in all faculty reporting, accounting, and financial returns.
Working independently and innovatively in a fast paced, complex, and challenging but rewarding environment you will need a flexible and pro-active approach and an ability to respond to continually changing priorities and demands.

With a CCAB (CA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA) qualification and/or extensive relevant management accounting skills and experience, you will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, resilience, and the ability to build credibility and trust with a wide range of people.

The Faculties of Medicine and Biological Sciences have a combined turnover of c. £250m, and are comprised of 12 different Schools and Institutes.
