Full Job Description

The post holder will work as part of a designated clinical team and carry out specific clinical tasks and responsibilities under the supervision of a state registered practitioner, within the screening and symptomatic breast services. In addition a range of support duties will be undertaken including assisting radiologists, clinicians and radiographers during diagnostic breast investigations. The post holder will be a member of the multi-disciplinary breast team and will undertake duties at OBIC and on the mobile breast screening units located at various sites across Oxfordshire.Main duties of the job · To work within the Scope of Practice for Mammography Associates/Assistant Practitioners in Breast Imaging and undertake screening and symptomatic mammograms in the static and mobile clinics. · To assist in interventional procedures (core biopsies, vacuum assisted core biopsies and localisations) as required, including preparation of procedure trolley and support of patient undergoing procedure. · To assist in US when needed. · Complete QA testing on a daily, weekly and monthly basis at the static and mobile units. · To process and prepare images and paperwork for clinical reporting., As a Mammography Associate, you will support patients throughout their screening journey, ensuring they feel comfortable, reassured, and treated with dignity and respect. You will assist Radiographers, Nurses, and Radiologists by preparing equipment, supporting procedures, and ensuring clinics run efficiently. You will travel across Oxfordshire to work on mobile screening units, working flexibly across different sites, and maintaining accurate records while upholding patient confidentiality.

  • Level 4 Mammography Training Qualification
