Full Job Description

We're looking for Male Support Workers to join a dedicated team supporting a gentleman in his late 30s to live a safe, fulfilling and independent life. This is a truly rewarding opportunity for someone who enjoys building meaningful relationships, providing consistent support, and making a genuine difference every day. You'll be supporting a gentleman who is polite, engaging and naturally curious about the world around him. He enjoys getting out and about in his car, going for walks when possible, and spending time exploring his interests., You'll be part of a specialist support team within a structured complex-needs community setting made up of five bungalows. This is an environment where consistency, teamwork and professionalism are essential. Your role will involve:

  • Supporting the gentleman with day-to-day living and community activities
  • Following Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) plans and agreed strategies
  • Maintaining clear and professional boundaries
  • Providing calm, consistent support during behaviours of distress
  • Encouraging independence and promoting choice and control
  • Working closely with colleagues to ensure a safe and supportive environment
  • Helping the person you support enjoy their hobbies, interests and goals

Your Responsibilities You'll support him to maintain stability, independence and a meaningful routine, including:
  • Providing reassurance and consistency
  • Following behaviour support plans
  • Supporting through behaviours of distress
  • Personal care (varied levels)
  • Medication administration
  • Manual handling
  • Cooking, cleaning and household tasks
  • Supporting budgeting & daily living skills
  • Safe community access, including walks and trips out by car

Full PBS training is provided, but previous experience in complex or challenging support is essential.

    £14.01 (£60 per sleep shift) Part-time - 32 hrs a week Newcastle, NE5 (6 Min Drive From Kingston Park Stadium) Requirements: Previous or transferable experience is essential & Full UK Driving Licence Covering Manual Vehicles You'll make every day matter for the people you support, helping them learn, grow, and live life their way.
