Male Support Worker

A Personal Assistant is required to support a friendly and active child with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and speech and language needs. There are a multimodal communicator and uses some limited Makaton signing. He enjoys a range of activities including building train tracks, fitting number mats together, completing puzzles, and looking at books. They also responds well to sensory-based activities, particularly using a peanut ball and other activities that help meet his sensory needs. Main Duties Support to access and enjoy community activities. Encourage participation in outdoor play, visits to parks, shops, and soft play centres. Engage them in activities that reflect his interests and support his development. Provide opportunities for sensory-based play and activities. Offer gentle encouragement and reminders regarding personal care, including toileting and handwashing. Promote independence, confidence, and social engagement in a safe and supportive manner. The,
