Male carer who has a valid driving license and own vehicle required due to client's preference as personal care is involved. About the Client: The client has lived in their home with their spouse for many years and has a rich personal and professional background, including a lifelong passion for music and a successful career in business. Their home environment is very important to them, including personal hobbies, outdoor space, and pets. Following a stroke in April 2024, the client now has reduced mobility and limited speech, requiring live-in care. They value independence, companionship, and consistency in their care routine, and enjoy music, reading, puzzles, and spending time with family and friends. Job Summary: Provide compassionate, person-centred live-in care, supporting daily living needs while promoting dignity, independence, and comfort. This includes full personal care, catheter management, meal preparation, medication administration, and companionship.,
- Assist with full personal care, including bathing (using an electric bath seat), dressing, grooming, and oral hygiene
- Support toileting needs with dignity, including washing and continence care
- Provide daily catheter care, monitor output, and report any concerns
- Administer medication in line with care plans
- Prepare meals for the client and their spouse, supporting a soft diet and weekly meal planning
- Compile and submit weekly shopping lists for online ordering
- Offer mobility support indoors and ensure wheelchair use outdoors for safety
- Provide reassurance and physical support when moving around the home
- Encourage participation in daily activities and hobbies (e.g. puzzles, reading, music, studio time)
- Facilitate social interaction, including visits from family and friends
- Maintain accurate care records and observe/report any changes in health or wellbeing Additional Requirements:
