Full Job Description
Opened in 2024, The Reach is one of Manchester's newest hotels: 215 rooms of luxury lifestyle in the heart of Piccadilly, part of Marriott's Tribute Portfolio. That means modern systems, a building built to impress, and planned work rather than constant firefighting.
You'll work closely with our Maintenance Manager as part of a small, skilled team keeping the hotel in perfect shape.
What you'll own
Reactive repairs across plumbing, joinery, electrics and decoration, done properly first time
Keeping rooms, suites and public spaces at a luxury standard, with no shortcuts
Planned preventative maintenance and compliance checks
Overseeing specialist contractors and holding them to our standards
Your workshop, tools and records
Spotting improvements and bringing ideas to the table
Hands-on maintenance experience across plumbing, joinery, decorating and general repairs
A sharp eye for detail (if it's not right, you'll know)
Calm under pressure when three things need doing at once
Solid health and safety know-how
A warm, professional manner with guests and colleagues
The right to work in the UK
Bonus points for
Trade qualifications or an apprenticeship
18th Edition electrical, IPAF or Legionella awareness
Hotel or high-end facilities experience
Experience managing contractors
What's in it for you
