Full Job Description
As a Maintenance Operative at Careline Lifestyles, your main responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring the premises are safe and well-maintained by conducting daily inspections for any potential Health and Safety hazards
- Keeping an electronic maintenance log and ensuring all issues are reported and addressed in a timely manner
- Verifying all tasks with the Manager, except in the case of emergencies
- Ensuring lights, particularly bulbs, are working properly throughout the premises
- Maintaining tidy gardens, yards, and fire exit areas, especially during poor weather conditions
- Checking and maintaining hot water and heating systems
- Regularly carrying out painting jobs, including 'touching up' areas as needed
- Inspecting drains and gutters weekly to ensure proper functioning
- Organising and testing fire equipment, hoists, lifts, boilers, air conditioners, and other equipment
- Carrying out weekly fire drills and documenting findings in the Fire Drill Log Book
- Keeping all records up to date and notifying the Administrator/Directors of any potential hazards for further action
- Being flexible and adaptable to new tasks and responsibilities as required by the company
A proactive and responsible attitude towards maintenance and health & safety - The ability to identify hazards and take appropriate action
- Strong communication skills to work effectively with team members and management
- A willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities
- Ability to maintain and inspect equipment and systems regularly
