Full Job Description
As Maples continues to grow, we are seeking a committed Maintenance Operative to join the team at the Maples.
The main purpose of the role is to carry out planned and reactive maintenance on our properties and their grounds to ensure our service users live in safe and comfortable accommodation. Also to carry out essential maintenance on voids to ensure they are maintained to a high standard and within set targets.
You will be equally happy to work unsupervised or within a team and be self-motivated in order to achieve Maples goals in supporting clients to live independently.
You will be passionate about all areas of maintenance and have a good basic knowledge in decorating, plumbing, carpentry, and electrical work.

What You'll Be Doing
You will provide a responsive and high-quality maintenance service across our properties and grounds. Key duties include:
Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance in a safe, professional manner
Completing basic carpentry, electrical, plumbing, joinery, and painting/decorating tasks
Preparing void properties to a high standard to support timely re-letting
Assembling and moving furniture and equipment
Supporting service users with simple DIY tasks where appropriate
Reporting maintenance and health & safety concerns to the Property Manager
Ensuring all paperwork and maintenance records are completed accurately
Working collaboratively across teams to support continuous improvement
Upholding company policies, procedures and health & safety compliance
Undertake any other duties as may be reasonable required.

Full UK Driving Licence
Physically able to carry out manual tasks
Right to work in the UK

Have a basic knowledge of Health & Safety although full training will be provided.
Full UK Driving Licence
Physically fit with experience of working in a physically demanding environment
